Cochin - Munnar - Periyar - Kumarakom - Alappucha - Trivandrum - Cape Comorin - Trivandrum
Kerela the land of coconut and Kathakali, is a strip of green canopied land on the southern part of peninsular India bordered by the Arabian Sea on the western side and mountainous peaks on th eastern side. Most of coastal Kerela the sea made deep inroads, often penetrating many miles island. These backwaters run through the countryside as deep or shallow channels or canals, some even being interconnected. While nearer the sea most of these are brackish, deeper inland, when often intercepted by fresh water lakes, they carry sweet potable water. From the earliest times a boat (Ketuvallam) has been the means of communication, which ranges in size from one-person carrier to those scores of people, from rustic open goods transporters to artistically built, roofed live-in type.
 
 

Day 01
Arrival - Cochin

Arrival in cochin and transfer to the hotel. Continue with a halfday tour of old cochin visiting The Dutch Palace at Mattancherry. The Jewish Synagogue at the heart of what is called the Jew Town. The St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India. The Santa Cruz Basilica, originally built in 1557 by the Portugese. The Chinese fishing nets, believed to have brought to Kochi by Chinese traders. Also visit the Willingdon Island named after Lord Willingdon, is the headquarters of the Southern Naval Command of India. of days.

Day 02
Cochin - Munnar
Morning drive to Munnar, the famous hill station of Kerala. Arrive Munnar and check-in at the hotel.

Day 03
Munnar
Free day. Munnar is situated near the Anamudi Peak, the highest peak in the Western Ghats.

Day 04
In Munnar - Periyar
Drive on a scenic route dotted with plantations of rubber, cardamom, cocoa, green pepper and areca nut, to the wildlife reserve Periyar. Arrive Periyar and check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day free to walk around known for various Spice and coffee plantations.

Day 05
Periyar - Kumarakom
Early morning enjoy a boat ride on Lake Periyar to see wild elephants. Afternoon drive to Kumarakom near Kottayam and stay in one of the backwaters resorts. The panoramic backwaters here offer an ideal retreat to enjoy nature at its best.

Day 06
Kumarakom-Alappuzha (House Boat)
Morning drive a short distance before switching over to a boat for a through many canals and waterways up to Allepey. The backwater cruise in a country boat is the best way to explore the villages and rural life. In Alleppey you will be taken aboard your floating houseboat, a different boat with a bedroom and en-suite rest room for your comfort. Spend the night on board the houseboat. Enjoy a cruise on the backwater through a maze of canals and lagoons and enjoy freshly caught fresh water fish cooked to your taste on board.

Day 07
To Trivandrum
Morning after getting off the boat drive to Trivandrum. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Trivandrum visiting the ancient temple of Sri. Padmanabhaswamy is one of the major attractions in the city of Thiruvananthapuram.Napier Museum was built in 1880 and shows a harmonious blending of Kerela, Mughal and Rajputs schools of arts. The Zoo in Thiruvananthapuram has many shady and delightful walks.

Day 08
Trivandrum to Cape Comorin
Full day return excursion to Cape Comorin, the southernmost part of the Indian mailand. Visit Vivekananda Memorial which is built about 400 meters offshore.

Day 09
Departure Trivandrum
