Day 01
Arrival - Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be met by
ChariotIndia?s represantative and transfer to
hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 02
Delhi - Agra
Drive through New Delhi visiting India Gate,
Presidential Palace, Parliament house and
Diplomatic Area. Continue drive to Agra .
Proceed for city tour of Agra, visit the world famous Taj Mahal-one of the seven wonders
of the world. Also visit Agra Fort.
Day 03
Agra - Gwalior - Orcha
Discover India?s fastest Train Shatabdi Express
(0815/ 0930 hrs.). Arrive at Gwalior city (8th
century), visit the Gwalior Fort- a magnificent
monument made of sandstone, it stand as a
witness to its reputation as an invincible
structure. Afternoon drive to Orcha, stopping
en-route at Datia to view the beautiful sevenstorey
hilltop Gobinda Palace. Then onto Orcha,
on the banks of the Betwa River.
Day 04
Orcha - Khajuraho
Morning short visit of Orcha. This former capital
of the Bundela Rajputs, has been left relatively
undisturbed by time. It has been left relatively
undisturbed by time and it is rich in mural art
and architecture. Proceed to Khajuraho and
overnight stay.
Day 05
Khajuraho - Varanasi
Khajuraho?s isolated location makes it an ideal
retreat. The origin of temples & history of
Chandela Dynasty, during whose era these
were built, dates between 950-1050 AD and
out of 85 temples, only 22 are in good state of
preservation today. Visit includes, Kanhariya
Mahadev, Chaturbhuj Parswanath & Ghantai
Temples. Afternoon connect flight to Khajuraho/
Varanasi.
Day 06
Varanasi
Early morning boat rides on the river Ganges
to view sunrise and see the rituals that take place
along the ghats (waterside steps). Return to the
hotel for breakfast and continue with the city
tour, visiting the temples in the old city . Later
visit Sarnath, where Lord Buddha preached his
first sermon, to see the Buddhist temples and
the interesting Sarnath Museum. Evening free.
Day 07 Varanasi - Delhi
Morning is free and later transfer to the airport
for flight to Delhi. Dinner and thereafter transfer
to Delhi International Airport for your return flight
